We are learning about mealworms in our classroom. We feed them lots of bran. Bran is the only food they eat. Mealworms drink the juice from vegetables instead of water. Mealworms have four stages to their life. The first one is an egg. The second one is larva, the third is pupa, and the fourth is adult. As adults they produce eggs and the cycle starts over. We are watching the mealworms as they grow. They live in a tub in our classroom. The tub is filled with the food they eat. They need space in order to live.
