Postcards from the Edge (of the northern hemisphere)

First postcards
A big thank you goes to the friends and family of student #13 who started off our Postcards from Around the World Project with these cards from Palm Springs, CA and Singapore. As a class we found these communities on maps and a globe. We described their location in terms of hemispheres, continents, countries, regions, and, in the case of Palm Springs, states. Students, do a little research on your own and post a comment with an interesting fact about these two locations. Additionally, see if you can remember what hemisphere, continent, country, region, and state these places are located. Your comments will appear after I have had a chance to moderate them.

Hi, I have a ton of people asking when these are "due", is this open until the end of the year or is there a deadline? Thanks Miss Rotz

Singapore is made of 63 islands.

Palm Springs is in the desert, close to Death Valley.

We'll be doing the postcard project until further notice, most likely the end of the school year.
