Looking Ahead to the week of September 16-20

What a busy week we had. Students celebrated their first Champion Movie lunch after earning 25 Champion minutes with their exemplary behavior. We've had our first assembly of the year, and of course, we gathered together for Curriculum Night. I really enjoyed meeting so many of you on Thursday evening.
Here's what's happenin' this week:

MATH: 

  • exploring methods for multi-digit addition with an emphasis on the role of place value alignment
  • identifying when and how to regroup in multi-digit addition
  • identifying and explaining errors in addition and word problems
SCIENCE
  • continuing our work with water on a slope
  • using math to answer the question how much water can a dry sponge soak up.
