Looks like our room was taken over by wizards, skeletons, super heroes, mythical creatures and tornado survivors. What is a teacher supposed to do? Perhaps a STEM challenge? As the culminating activity to a day of fun and learning, our favorite cast of characters was challenged with building cages for their pumpkins. But watch out for the Pumpkin Bandit. Mrs. Pelto visited our room and tried to rescue the pumpkins by reaching through the spaces in the cages. Several pumpkins were able to escape, but after some redesigning and more planning, the perilous pumpkins were safely trapped in their cages. Way to go, Third Graders.
