For the week of October 21-25


I so enjoyed meeting so many of you during last week's parent-teacher conferences. It was my great pleasure to share your child's work with you, to celebrate their successes, and to set new goals.
MATH- We will build fluency with 2s, 5s and 10s in multiplication and division.

SCIENCE- We will be exploring how water temperature influences water density. We will also investigate how water density indicates which objects will float and which will sink.

READING-We will be looking for clues to the author's hidden message by analyzing the characters.

SPELLING- We will be practicing the different ways we spell the long /a/ and long /e/ sounds in words.

Remember, students correctly spelling 12 out of 14 words on the pretest will be given an alternate test with more challenging words. The alternate list will be posted on Tuesday.

WRITING- We will be practicing compound sentences. We are also finishing up our character descriptions of our Frankenstein monsters.

Write Smart-This group is learning to take electronic notes as they read an ebook.

Practicing those all important times tables.

A collaborative activity as part of a lesson delivered by our school counselor Mrs. V.

Our virtues assembly. #9 and #15 earned awards for showing demonstrating the virtue of Respect.
