I trust everyone is enjoying Super Bowl Sunday. The snow is nice added touch, don't you think? We talked about the possibility of snow this week. We discussed that while cold and moisture are needed for snow, the most important ingredient is lots of wishing with one or two snow dances thrown in for good measure. We did dance to a couple of snow songs this past week, and look, our hard work paid off.
This week we'll be learning:
Math-Measurement
- Telling time to the quarter hour
- Telling time before and after the hour
- Measuring the passing of time from the beginning to the end of an event.
- Solving word problems involving time
Science-Motion and Matter
- What happens when magnets and gravity interact with objects.
- How is the magnetic field affected by adding more magnets.
- Choosing an appropriately challenging book for independent reading.
- Setting goals for improving reading stamina
