Terrariums

Today in Science, we worked in our color groups to assemble our own terrariums. First, we poured a thin layer of gravel on the bottom of a plastic container to help drain moisture from the soil and to prevent the soil from getting moldy. Next, we spread a layer of dry leaves over the gravel to keep the soil from falling through the small rocks. Finally, we piled on a thick layer of moist soil to prepare for our plants to grow. We can't wait to see what kind of plants we'll be growing!
