This just made me happy!

Here's what we're learning this week:

MATH: 

• Dividing larger numbers into equal groups
• Ways to divide larger numbers
• Strategies for dividing
• Solving problems using the four operations

  

  Student #3 shows her thinking. She  turned the division problem into a multiplication

   problem and then starting with a fact she knew (10 X 3) she counted up by 3s  to 42.
  

LITERACY:

• Spelling-irregular plurals-change the -y to -i and add -es or -ed
• Read Aloud-Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume. Making text-to-text connections.
• SBA Practice- Prarie Dogs Expository Writing
• YAD-continuing first drafts by expanding story maps. Emphasis on resolving the main problem.
