SASQUATCH CHALLENGE UPDATE

Congratulations to students #5, #6, #11, #16, and #20 for passing Sasquatch quizzes. You're that much closer to achieving your goal. I've started listening to Wonder by R.J. Palacio and am getting excited to read the book to the class.

Here's what  is coming up this week.

LITERACY-
  • Analyzing and evaluating characters
  • Destiny's Gift by Natasha Anastasia Tarpley
  • Long A and E spellings
  • Narrative writing- focusing on character description
MATH- We are continuing our work with subtraction methods
  • Subtract using multiple methods
  • Relate addition and subtraction
  • Practice and discuss subtraction methods
  • Explain our mathematical thinking in expository writing following the CER model.






SCIENCE- We will focus on the following investigation questions.
  • What tools and units are used to measure water temperature.
  • How do heat and cold affect water?
  • What happens when hot or cold water is placed in room temperature water?





SEL-Our school counselors will be presenting part two  of their lesson on recognizing and reacting to bullying.
