Spelling Pattern

Please be sure to check the back of your child's homework calendar.  You should find 18 words following the VCe pattern.  (That's Long Vowel, Consonant, silent -e, for the uninitiated.)  Students will be working with this pattern all week and their test on Friday will include at least 10 words from this list (it may be more) as well as some words not on this list, but that follow the same pattern.  I know, that's tricky. *evil laughter ensues.*  The idea is that by learning the pattern students will be able to spell many more words than just those on the list.
